The song's by the New Radicals. And not that I particularly like the song, but it's relevant to what I'm about to type out.
The First Rejection letter. And Making Holi delicacies with family.
Something about both of them.
A. The First Rejection Letter
Mine was from Caltech. It's amazing how much effort they try to put to make the rejection sound... nice. Either way, the deflates the big balloon of narcissism in your head. But what happened to me was... er.
I was indifferent. I know that's not how it's supposed to be. I should have been all HAW. I didn't even tell anyone at home that the result had come, so that I could figure out how I felt about it. Maybe it was because I'd applied to 10 colleges, and there were still 9 more to go. Maybe it was because I'm not sure I really want to go to any of these "institutions".
I know I'm messed up. But, if anything, I was.. surprised at my reaction. Surprised to learn that I didn't actually care so much. There was.. something nice about knowing that.
B. Making Holi Delicacies with Mom and Mausi
They decided to make khurme (shakkar paare?) and gujiyas this year. After so long. :D So I helped a bit with the gujiyas. I was just making balls of the dough, but it felt great to just sit in the kitchen doing that. With mom and mausi. Then we had leftover dough so we made a some matri and samosas. :D So much food. ^_^
So yes. Today I'm happy on food.
Tomorrow's going to have another reason. :)
Adieu for now.
=)
P.S. Mom just saw a .. er girgit in her room. Not sure if it's a garden lizard or chameleon. But damn it, it knows how to run. We both (Mom and I, that is) spent a consideration amount of time (high-pitch) screaming. Ah, wonderful moments. =P
Archit : Multi-tasking, for me, is like screwing up a lot of things together. :D

11 Wisecracks:
Respect lizards.
They are going to become our leaders one day.
Then robots will land on earth, demolish convenience stores, take holidays on beaches till they've met our lizards.
The prophecy shall be fulfilled.
Mark my words.....
I have three reactions for this kind of a comment.
1. Bahahah. xD
2. Um. Okay. Sure. Er. Okay.
3. Awesome! I have had a similar theory about .. well nothing. I'll get back to you on it.
Pick your favourite. =P
"Girgit" sounds cute. Written in English. Hee.
Okay, best of luck with the other 9 :)
You update your blog, and the only reason I find out is cause I was stalking someone who had you on their blogroll?
>.<
WHY? TELL ME WHY?
Also, seeing all those hindi/indic words in the latin script is just slightly disturbing. Other than girgit. That's a nice word.
@Espera :
Shoulda been Girgitt, now that I think about it. :P
..And er. Other 8. :-/ MIT.
@Anurag :
Overly hyper, yet you're obviously not actually "WHY"ing about it.
Question here, WHO were you stalking?
No! You see, "girgit" sounds cute. The extra t sort of ruins the effect, on the other hand.
Oh well. 8 then. Best of luck. :)
Yep, best of luck :)
And HOW do you figure out whether or not there's an extra T when it's silent when you pronounce it? That's like the Mboscodictiasaur from Friends!
Gujiyas are awesome! And too much make you sick in the stomach!
@Espera : Point. And thanks :)
@Nyx : Thanks :) And ARRE. It's about the amount of time you're supposed to hang on to the "t" for. =P
@Pikachu : Sobhagya?
So most of the decisions are out. Where are you off to ?
