It's my birthday?!

Well.
Here's the true story.

The Exun Farewell was supposed to be held on 27th January. And it got canceled. Yet, it was an awesome awesome day.

So. I'll start from the beginning.

Mom and mausi had to go to the airport that morning, and didi wanted my cycle (remember, that pink thing I mentioned? :| ). So the full size Ladybird was loaded INSIDE the car. With me, all cramped. After an awesome one hour journey, I reached school. Sobhagya and I had decided we'd finish off our lab-file work.

Around 12:30, Mukesh Sir smsed saying the farewell was cancelled. Clearly, I was irritated. The reason was highly unexpected - the INMO camp at DPS Dwarka. Karanveer, Shubham and Aman were foolish (and dumb and ridiculous) enough to tell the teacher that they had to leave early because they had to attend the farewell. The teacher, who over the past years has developed an awesome hatred for the Exun Clan, called the DPS Society Chairman, who then called Saini Sir, asking for a cancellation.

So now the problem wasn't just holding the farewell without those 3, but holding it at all. Aditya (Jain) was getting hyper too, he was in the car and stuck in traffic, not knowing whether to turn back or not. Not to mention every Exun member we saw saying "It's canceled?"

We tried to talk Mukesh sir into it for a while.

Then someone suggested. "How about we don't call it a farewell?"

"Oh yes. We could just be getting together."

"We could be celebrating a birthday party!"

Rishabh, looking at me, "Sakshi's birthday!"

And the rest is history.

But I'm still going to write it down.

So then, after a gazillion birthday wishes and phone calls (telling everyone to turn up, that it wasn't canceled after all), we left school.

Sobhagya wanted to travel in an auto (she is ajeeb. 18 years old and never traveled in one!), so the two of us left early. Rishabh wanted to make sure I wasn't the first person at "my party", so he said I should not reach before him :P

Aditya was smsing wildly. That's what hunger does to people. :D

Sobhagya and I reached early. We went to the Om Book Shop to "stare at pretty books and figure out what the story could go like". I bought a book and we left when Rishabh called.

Then THAT was followed by 3 hours of pure awesomeness at Pizza Hut. Photos. Pizza. Pizza without cheese (Sobhagya's allergic :| and that pizza tasted just wrong). Coke. EXUN COKE (It's.. a coke's nightmare. Coke + everything edible nearby. Usually turns green after the add-ons). Chocolate cake(Awesome it was. Bhatla would know :P ). Slam Chart Papers. Certificates of Expertise(oh yeah!). Mementos. Rickrolling. My blurry camera.

After ALL of that :D :D :D we decided to surprise Mukesh Sir.
So some of us went back to school.
And surprised him. :)

And then. There were none. Vaibhav and I decided to wait for Sobhagya's dad. For about 20 minutes.

20 minutes of That's What She Said-ing. Sobhagya didn't even GET half of them. So awesome it was. I think we set a record. (TWSS? :P )

Hmmmm. Hmmmm. :)
The Farewell was just perfect. Because it got canceled. Because of everyone there. :)
Thanks guys. [Sniff]

WOW. I saw the "Sakshi's Birthday" thing on facebook, but I never thought the whole story was this cool.

Damn. It's crazy stuff like this that makes me miss Exun even more.

"The teacher, who over the past years has developed an awesome hatred for the Exun Clan, called the DPS Society Chairman, who then called Saini Sir, asking for a cancellation."

Like, whoa. That teacher really must've had it against you guys :P
